Who we are
Our Vision
We are YWAM Canterbury, an international, interdenominational community that is part of Youth with a Mission globally. We love God and long to serve His purposes, both in Canterbury and beyond.
We have been particularly inspired by Isaiah 61 and Exodus 3 and believe God wants to include us in some of His purposes in this season.
As a YWAM community, we are passionate about mercy ministries, training and evangelism, and hope to reflect all of these aspects of YWAM through the things that we do.
Some of the things that characterise who we are:
We love the local body of Christ and what God is already doing in the city. Our heart is that, through the local church, we are able to serve and support what God is already doing in Canterbury and the surrounding areas.
We have a passion for training and, as part of the University of the Nations globally, we desire to run training that will equip people for God’s calling on their lives within the spheres of society.
We believe that healthcare is God’s idea, and we want to create a platform for those who are passionate about this area so that we can be further trained and equipped to share the love of God through these means.
As well as serving locally, we want to join with what God is doing nationally and also in the nations. We have many connections in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and we long to continue to partner with God in what He is doing in these and other areas of the world.
